Peoples Gas is built on more than 125 years of history rooted in integrity, principle-based leadership, and a commitment to doing the right thing every day. We're dedicated to maintaining and growing a culture of strong, ethical governance in partnership with our parent company, Emera Inc., as a way to ensure we operate, grow and engage responsibly and sustainably, both now and in the future.

Our Relationship with Emera

In 2016, Peoples Gas joined Emera Inc., a geographically diverse energy and services company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Emera primarily invests in regulated electricity generation and electricity and gas transmission and distribution with a strategic focus on transformation from high carbon to low carbon energy sources. Emera has investments throughout North America, and in four Caribbean countries.

Emera's environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments are also core to Peoples Gas' strategy, culture and daily operations. Like Emera, we are focused on delivering cleaner, affordable and reliable energy, responsibly and safely.
