Floridians Rate Peoples Gas No. 1 for Customer Satisfaction Again in the South and South Midsize Segments

Residents and businesses across the state value utility’s reliable service and commitment to its customers

Florida residents and businesses once again rated Peoples Gas No. 1 in the south and south midsize segments in the J.D. Power 2022 Gas Utility Customer Satisfaction studies. The company ranked highest in the south midsize segment of the 2022 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction study for the tenth year in a row, and highest in the south segment of the Gas Utility Business Customer Satisfaction study for the fourth year in a row and sixth time since 2016*.

The J.D. Power 2022 U.S. Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study measures customer satisfaction in six categories or drivers: safety and reliability, billing and payment, corporate citizenship, price, communications, and customer care. The Business Customer Satisfaction Study measures customer satisfaction in six categories: safety and reliability, billing and payment, corporate citizenship, price, communications, and customer contact. Peoples Gas led the residential south midsize segment in all drivers and led the south segment of the business study in four of the six drivers (billing and payment, corporate citizenship, price, and communications).

The 2022 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study is based on responses from 57,239 online interviews. The 2022 Gas Utility Business Customer Satisfaction Study is based on responses from more than 9,220 online interviews of business customers in decision-making roles related to their utility company.
