Floridians rate Peoples Gas No.1 in the south midsize segment for ninth time

Customers value clear communication and commitment to service, environment

In a virtual presentation on Thursday, Peoples Gas received the trophy for leading the south midsize segment of the J.D. Power 2021 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study. This marks the ninth consecutive year the utility’s residential customers have rated it highest in customer satisfaction. Peoples Gas set a new record by ranking highest in its segment nine years in a row.

The study analyzed customer satisfaction in six categories: billing and payment, price, corporate citizenship, communications, customer care, and safety and reliability. Peoples Gas led the south midsize segment in price, corporate citizenship, communications and customer care.

The J.D. Power 2021 Gas Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study is based on more than 58,000 responses from residential customers of 85 of the largest gas utilities across the continental United States. Peoples Gas ranked highest in customer satisfaction in residential natural gas service among midsize gas utilities in the south region, which includes eight states.
