Joining the board, effective Feb. 7, will be:

She previously served as president and chairman of the Miami City Ballet’s board of trustees. Codina Barlick was the founder of the Downtown Doral Charter Elementary School and serves as its president. She also serves on the Florida Council of 100, a non-profit group of community leaders who work closely with state leaders on economic development issues.

Thakkar also serves on the Florida Council of 100.
“These outstanding business leaders will bring their unique perspectives to the Tampa Electric Co. board, to help guide Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas to a future of cleaner, sustainable energy and service for our customers and communities,” said Scott Balfour, chairman of the board. “We are delighted they are joining us.”
