TECO Peoples Gas Outage Update #9 - News Release

TECO Peoples Gas Outage Update #9

TAMPA, May 22, 2010

As of 9 a.m. today, Peoples Gas restoration crews have visited 95 percent of the customers affected by our recent outage. The outage was the result of an event at the Florida Gas Transmission gate station in Palm Beach County that Peoples Gas had no control over.

We have restored 65 percent of our residential customers and our number one priority through the weekend is to re-visit customers that were not available during our initial visit. As a clarification, all customers visited are not turned-on due to no one being present or the account being seasonal.

It is expected that all customer premises will be visited before noon Saturday.

For latest update on our progress as well as safety tips please see www.peoplesgas.com.
