Play It Safe With Gas

Get the information you need about natural gas before you begin a project. Serious injury or death could result if a mistake is made with natural gas or around natural gas pipelines. It only takes one mistake.

Some things to remember:

Survey the job site carefully before work begins and anticipate potential safety problems.
Call 811 in advance to locate and mark underground lines.
Report activities that could damage natural gas pipelines, such as below surface penetration that could contact underground pipelines.

Call 1-877 TECO PGS (1-877-832-6747) immediately if you smell gas or if you think you have come in contact with gas transmission piping while digging. (Leaks are given the utmost priority.
